I was watching the news last night. There was a urgent alert showingt a RJT 2010 Camaro was car jacked. It appeared the owner was put into the trunk and driven around for 1+ hours before the car jacker let her out. After she was let out she called the police, who pursued the theif. The car was wrecked in the chase and the theif fled on foot. They were doing a manhunt last night.
I wonder why she did not use the trunk release. It should have been glowing. I would have hit it on the first stop and called police to let them know I have onstar.
Is this a forum member? Does anyone recognize the plate? I couldn't tell you what type of revenge I would take if he got the drop on me. It sounds like the owner was not harmed, but I would definitely get revenge!

LORTON, Va. - Police in Fairfax County have a subject in custody but are not connecting it to an alleged abduction and carjacking that happened Tuesday night at a Metro station.
Officers say the abduction and carjacking happened just before 7 p.m. at the Franconia-Springfield Metro station parking garage on Tuesday. Police say the suspect abducted a woman at gunpoint and forced her into the trunk of her 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.
The suspect drove the victim around for about an hour before dropping her off.
Once free, police say the woman went to a home on Silverdale Road in Lorton, Virginia where she called 911. She was not injured.
Police saw the suspect driving as they approached the scene, and chased him.
They say he wrecked his vehicle near Hooes Road and Furnace Road, and then fled on foot.
At this time, the suspect is still at large in the area of Lorifax Heights, near Hooes Road and Lorifax Drive.
A subject has been taken into custody by police, but at this time they are not connecting that person to the case.
Police describe the suspect as a black male who is about 5'9" and in his 20s.
He was last seen wearing a tan t-shirt, and he was armed with a handgun.
U.S. Park Police are also assisting in the aerial search.
Residents were advised to lock their doors and windows and not open the door to strangers until the suspect is in custody.
