Firstly... I am glad the woman was unharmed.... I know first hand how it feels to be held at gun point. I've been through it more than once myself. (Even had the pleasure of someone playing russian roulette with MY HEAD...) As you can tell.. I guess I didn't lose. (5 trigger pulls and only one spin) But yes there was a bullet.. I watched it get put in while the other two douche bags had their glocks on me. (Also been through an armed robbery jewel heist involving a getaway car when an auction I was working at was robbed by a couple of gun toting thiefs. nothing like turning around to a gun barrel between the eyes... "Wheres the jewelry!"

Anyways. It's a shitty thing to go through, and I've seen some people freeze up and do weird things in a moment of trauma like that. Odd's are the lady wasn't thinking clearly or may not even be aware of the trunk release. The adrenaline rush, and the reality that you just might die in a few seconds. Really throws a curve ball at you that can really stun some people and disable a persons mind from coming up with all these good idea's we think of after the matter.

I find it a little disturbing how many people on heres responses are.. "THATS WHY I CARRY MY OWN GUN" .... I'll tell you this much, you point a gun at a guy holding a gun and he's going to wanna be the first person to shoot and you are entering a whole new ball game so I hope you are as "bad ass" as you think you are. Leave the hero shit to clint eastwood movies. Imo you are only increasing the level of danger you are putting yourself in. The only time having that gun might be in your favor is if the person accosting you doesn't have a weapon and you wanna scare em off (but good luck knowing if they have a weapon or not, just cuz its not out doesnt mean its not concealed).. Or if there is absolutely no stopping them from acting out violently regardless of what you do/say or have.

Put yourself in their shoes... If I'm desperate enough to carry a gun to rob people... I'm going to take desperate measures if one of those people points a gun at me... Guarantee you I'm leaning a lotttt more towards pulling the trigger than before you pulled a gun out.

Yes I have brandished a weapon more than once to save myself or my family/girlfriend. But it was a last resort. And I've only had to "use" a weapon once.

I got through these incidents with my life and that was all I wanted.. Property can be replaced.

All seriousness aside.....

Why didn't the trunk monkey activate !!! He shoulda pulled the release or did a barrel roll through the seats and went all beverly hills ninja on that foo.

- After thought... Maybe the thief got tired of "the wait" or his dealer sold his order to the woman in question! (sorry, bad jokes).

But yeah, It's unfortunate the woman either was in shock or didn't know about the release though.. Even if the vehicle is moving... you don't have to JUMP from the vehicle in order to flag someone down for help... I know 90% of the people out their on the road talk on their cell phones.. Someone easily coulda called it in.. "Some lady's waving for help from the trunk of a 2010 camaro with licence plate yada yada , I am talking on my cell phone while driving right behind her this very second !!"
