Yes....I've run into somewhat of the same thing. The dealership I'm looking at has approx 150 on order right now...so everyone that comes in is a customer's car. They'll let you sit and look but now rides. Sucks for us wanting to buy but I completely understand because they are customer cars I wouldn't want them taking my car out on a test drive before I took possession.

What I've done is asked people from our local Gen 5 group if someone would let me meet with them and really check out the car, go for a ride, take my wife for a ride, etc. Luckily we have a nice group of guys...tomorrow I'll be taking a member up on the offer and if for some reason that didn't work out I've had a couple other offers to take a close look at our next get together in a week. The cool thing is the one I hope to take a ride in tomorrow has already had the same kind of mods I'll be doing so it'll be better than just going to a dealership....Can't wait for tomorrow after work!!!
