Hope fully all engine debris are now gone and the second pump should not fail.

NOW go read about LT1 and LT4 failures which there have been many and GM has said they have had problems getting the blocks clean and debris are clogging the oil pumps and oil filters. Some reviewers Z06's even had major motor damage from this.

Granted car is under warranty and being fixed but sure the heck does not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Has to make you wonder why GM dropped the drivetrain warranty from 100K to 60K miles.

Just search and you will find issues that are a little nerve racking even on a new motor.

I am still really considering one of these:
Scott, becareful though. I too have been thinking about trading but when the owners of the other brands told me of their issues I was like whooa. It might be one of those out of the frying pan into the fire events. I had my #6 lifter stuck and had a cam upgraded and a different oil pump installed. Now with over 100,000 miles on my 2012 LS3 I have to say the good out came the bad for me. Maybe I was fortunate somewhat but be advised even those other cars can't handle the hp and tq our cars can without major upgrade that would be more than the price of a new engine for our cars. I have 2 friends that had a few events of blown STI motors in the past 2 years, one is now breaking in his newly installed forged motor. In my eyes though Mustangs GTs and Vipers seem to be more reliable than these offerings.
