I've been considering the Hurst, but after looking at an install article, both the Hurst and the stock shifter seem to be roughly the same length, so how does that work with making the throw shorter?
Also, does the 'blade' style shifter rod make the gears feel more 'positive'? My experience with the stock shifter is that going into each gear is a bit sloppy, and I only wish it were tighter. (For example: moving the stock shifter into each gear feels like a round bar going loosely into a square slot, if you get what I mean.) (EDIT:
