If there is a piece of rebar sticking up like that, it is a hazard and you may have a claim. Unfortunately, trying to get the city to pay up may be a long and difficult journey.

Just the other day, I pulled forward into a spot with a big parking lot curb stone and it barely cleared my lower front air dam on the bottom. I mean it was like millimeters of clearance. If I had lowering springs or one of those front splitters, I would have definitely hit it.

I use to roll my eyes when people would say to back it in, but now I'm a firm believer in that habit. The only thing I don't like about backing it in is that sometimes it's more difficult than just pulling in forward. But, if that keeps the front end from getting tore up like that, I'm all for it.
