Another very important aspect is physically getting the plugs out. If you postpone for 150,000 miles plus, you may have great difficulty removing the spark plugs period.
I met one guy who waited 250,000 miles and could not get em out without pulling the threads out. Aluminum head/threads + steel zinc coated spark outer shell/threading + high mileage = potential disaster.
And if ya DYI, lightly apply some metallic based, high quality anti seize compound on the plug threads when re installing the new units.
