Reading oil pressure in Bars means x barometric pressure.

A general rule of thumb is you want to be above 1 bar at warm idle. About 2 to 4 bars at cruising RPM. Maybe a bit over 4 at high revs.

A car that has a baro sensor and oil pressure sensor can use the ECM to calc the oil pressure in Bars.

A normal pressure reading would do just fine, but some parts of the world like to see their stuff in Bars. Kinda like seeing the fuel in weight instead of volume.
