I don't think you can say that performance "doesn't matter" for the V6. It is probably fair to say that performance is not the highest priority. When you say it doesn't matter, it makes it sound like V6 owners would have bought it with an Iron Duke!

That said, I would avoid rushing into the SS unless you are certain the only thing you don't like is the acceleration/sound. Best case scenario, you are going to drop more change than you really are able or want to spend (hence the original purchase of the V6). Worst case, you are going to lose a few thousand more trying to get out of the V6. Imagine how bad it would be to realize you want something else after a few months. My advice, drive you V6 for a while longer and really figure out what you do/don't like about it.
