Ok....I'm SOLD!

BIG THANKS! to Number 9 I got to check out an SS up close and personal.

He has an IBM 2SS/RS L99 with polished wheels and factory white stripes. His is an RP6 order and had about 8,100 miles on it.

At 6' 5" – 270 lbs I fit in it well. I usually wear a 34” – 36” long pants and typically look for a XXL large shirts to accommodate my long arms and I actually had to move the seat up some but did have to have it as low to the ground as I could. The car didn’t have a sunroof and my head did not touch the roof. Unfortunately I didn’t think to see how much more room was above me nor did I check to see if I could put my arm up on the door ledge (too busy taking it all in). My wife (at 5' 4"), on the passenger side, couldn’t see the road in front of her but she could see out and around her. She said she would prefer a little height in the seat but it was no deal breaker by any means. She wasn’t just starring at the dash. When she sat in the driver’s seat she could adjust the seat up to see just fine. Hopefully the passenger side height adjustment will be addressed by the time I get my hands on a Camaro.

I can see where the blind spot on the right side could be an issue for some people but I guess I’m used to using my mirrors because I didn’t seem to have any issues with it.

Power was definitely nice. I didn’t stomp on it or anything but did give a half throttle here and there. Glad I got to hear one with some MagnaFlows on it. I might have to go with a competition/no muffler version. The cabin is so quiet you need some extra noise to hear the beautiful sounding engine. Flowmaster is supposed to release their system within a couple weeks so I’ll have to hear that one. I’m typically a Flowmaster Delta 40/American Thunder type person. This car already had a tune done so the shifts we hard and to the point. I’m sure this will kill the average Mustang or Challenger.

I would consider the Camaro a 3 seater. You can move the passenger seat forward and an average adult in the front and rear would be a little cramped but should still make it for some in town driving (don’t think I would want to make any long distance trips like that). However, two of my kids should fit just fine. On in the front with it scooted up and on in the back. Now, behind the driver’s seat….pretty much no one is going there unless you are 5’ 6” or under and can handle driving with the seat moved up.

Of course I wish I had more time than I did but I had a great opportunity that a lot of others that order this car (including Number 9) get before throwing down $35k+ on this car they don’t get to check out.

I’ll probably be putting the wheels in motion to get a deposit down on one next week but with the SS constraints and my dealer’s allocation I’ll probably be March/April before I actually get my hands on one.

Now the decision on which color??? ABM or RJT…….RJT or ABM???

Sorry for the long post but I had to tell someone….
