The tires you are absolutely correct about. I'm not seeing your point about the rest of it though. Once the fluids are warmed up I'm not seeing why the outside temperature matters much. Sure, you don't want to put much stress on the components until they are up to operating temps, but that is true even when it is 80 degrees outside.
What components/fluids are so special that they can't handle cold weather?
