Interesting article. Al O. says the new 1LE is 3 seconds faster than gen 5 1LE. In order to be faster than the GT350 it's going to be right on the heels of the Z/28. Is 3 seconds faster than gen 5 1LE enough to close that gap? Doesn't seem like it from what I recall. These mind games that Ford and Chevy play with one another do keep things interesting!

Edit: Another article claiming that, in response to the 2017 1LE being as fast as a GT350, that Ford is ditching the track pack option on the GT350 and making it standard. It must've have been the track pack version that ran 1 second or so behind the Z/28. Note: Ford's website still shows track pack as an option.
