I do think that you could still run them with the traction and stability off. But he forgot that he was in manual mode and hit the rev limiter and didn't get a chance to make another run.

Which tire did you run?
Exactly which wheel? (part number maybe?) I'd be interested in investigating this further!
And did you have any trouble with the bolt pattern? I see they are slightly different
