The shudder you are describing is most likely the AFM system taking your car from 4 to 8 cylinder mode. Many people complain about this system. From the threads seen here and on the Camaro5 site, people put their car in manual mode and the issue goes away.
The fix for this is to get AFM turned off via a tuner though this could cause the dealer to void your warranty. I'm do not believe that you can turn off AFM any other way on the Gen6 cars either.
The rough idle can be literally anything. No one here will be able to diagnose it so you may as well get your car back to the dealer.
