lets debate. . .lol.
flash drive - sticks into device and listen to stored music watch stored videos and carry files from work to home to where ever. . .but requires a separate device to read it.
Ipod - stores music, videos, and files also. can listen to music, watch videos and play games on it with out sticking into another device. requires a computer/laptop to transfer files that were stored on it for work or wot not.
Flash drive- Cheap $11 for 2 gigs, 27ish for a 4 gig stick.
Ipod - shuffle 1 gig 49$ 2 gig 79$ nano 4 gig 150$ 8 gig 199. . .
At first the flash drive looks like it does a whole lot more, but you are required to have a separate reading device for it, and doesn't require batteries or charging time.
But the Ipod you can listen to music on the go while working out etc. no need for a separate device to listen to it you bought it when you chunked out the extra 88$ for a 2 gig shuffle or 123$ for a 4 gig nano. you can still stick it in your stereo and play music from it just like the flash drive. the computer not too sure about haven't stuck my ipod on a computer it wasn't authorized for. . .but don't see why I couldn't play music from it.
for price if you have a device you are going to stick your flash drive in and don't care about listening to music or watching a video away from that device then it's great for you.
If you like watching movies on lets say long flights and your laptop batteries are already dead from the previous 8 hrs then it's great to have a nano or video ipod.
they are both good. just depends on what you use them for.
