I just changed over to Z28 shocks, springs, and bars. Haven't had a chance yet to run an autocross or track event. A friend of mine switched over also but kept the 1LE bars. Street impression. Definitely firmer but in a good way. Very streetable in my opinion. Mostly notice less squat and brake dive. I went to 19 inch wheels and 285 RE71R's. Dropped about 22 pounds in total unspring weight compared to the 20's. Should be faster but the proof will have to wait until we compete. The reason for the smaller bars is because of the increased spring rate for the Z28 springs although the 1LE bars may work just as well . Didn't try it, don't know for sure. Eventually down the road I plan to start replacing bushings as budget allows. What prodded me to do this was finding brand new Z28 struts and and springs at $700 for a set of four on Ebay. Spent another $234.00 on bars including shipping. If it works fine. If not I can sell it without losing anything.
