Moving up to track pads- need new rotors too?
Hi,
Been driving my Camaro on the track and going easy on the brakes with the stock pads and high temp brake fluid. No issues, but I am going to Laguna Seca next month and want to move up to Carbotech XP10 pads since they tell me Laguna is hard on brakes and I'd like to keep the Camaro in one non-smashed piece. Does anyone have experience with whether the rotors also need to be replaced when I replace the pads, or if I can get away with cleaning the rotors and bedding in the new pads properly? If the rotors need to be replaced, what does anyone else use?
If this isn't the right place for this post, please direct me elsewhere.
Thanks!
