Thanks for all the insight! I will pick up two 2x4's and check those plates today, but Mgizzle's post made a lot of sense, so thank you.

The road is really rough. I usually drove with the windows up so I probably never heard it. Thanks all, just wanted to make sure the most expensive part of the car wasn't falling apart.
