5.5" thin pads, (2-4) White polishing pads (4-6) orange cutting pads (1) black or red pad if you want to machine wax (1) not a need but a nice plus grey pad for spot fixing bad scratches (also could use wool for spot fixing they cut great) :

Also 2 forums to check out with a lot info, second one has a guy Mike Phillips that post a lot of how to right ups and videos. he is one the best in the country and now has a show on velocity about detailing.
