The R888 has the TrofeoR issues... issues being a needed warm up and some heat. No reason to switch from Trofeos to R888 at all.
Depends on what the driver wants and how many sets they want to have. RS3s could be fun choice at a nice price.

In my book Kuhmo V720 > than RS3. RS3 doesn't provide good grip around 55 degree temps or lower and have soft shoulders which makes the car roll more. RS3s in rain good luck. There is another tire I am looking to buy in a few weeks that would be a great option. It is steet/track though but gets great reviews and usually makes great rain tires.
