(EDIT: Pardon the emotional feelings on my post...knowing John, the things he's been through (family, etc), and then to see this happen to him...I'm kinda miffed)

In Summary:

I sure hope GM steps up to the plate on this one.

Catch can is professionally and correctly installed in his 15' 1LE. Oil pump dies (which is a known problem, TSB). Dealer AND GM both ok the tear down and fix of the engine. Work begins and without even inspecting the engine, The TAC sees a picture of the catch can and says, "halt all work! Aftermarket part! Deny claim and block warranty!"

What the heck?? While I know it's not GM's fault....it's the liaison between GM and the dealer, I hope GM steps up to the plate as I'm SURE they know it wasn't a catch can that caused John's problem. I even called my shop foreman who's been working with Chevy's for over 30 years. He knows just as much as the other guy that the catch can didn't cause any part to fail. Shoot....he even said to "raise hell." Man, if this was me, yeah...I'd want to raise hell too. I seriously feel for John...

Please help out, inspect the car, inspect the engine, inspect the pump and the catch can, and do what's right, GM. Fix this guys engine because this issue...(IMO) it really paints GM and it's dealers in a bad light. And if for some reason it actually is the catch cans fault (which I honestly can't see how that could ever happen), please give the man an explanation as to how the catch can effected the pump/engine because at this time, that still hasn't been done. Thank you.
