Very sad to read this, I wish you all the best getting this resolved.
Call your State Attorney General's office and file a complaint against the dealer and mention any conversations with GM. This wont cost you a dime.
The AG will have a letter to them the next day and your phone will be ringing immediately with the Dealers General Manager wanting to talk to you. They do not want to take a chance on an investigation by the AG's office. They will be wanting to work this out and for you to contact the AG and let them know the issue has been resolved.
Unfortunately, I had to go this route when I had a little dance with a dealer and GM awhile back.
