There are a number of folks in the industry that have a vested interest in a situation like this. Elite, the actual manufacturer of the catch can, and of course the folks over at SEMA would certainly be interested in this case as well. Of course, there might be a reporter or editor over a Jalopnik, MotorTrend, or other that might be looking for something interesting to write about.
Not that any of these folks would actually write a check to help the OP with legal expenses, but sometimes publicity and pressure from public opinion pulls more influence than any threat of legal action. I mean, legal action is one guy, public opinion is the threat of masses of potential Camaro owners flooding the showrooms of Ford and Dodge for their next purchase.
