I just told my techs about this situation this morning. They all said what a crock of BS, there's no mechanical way a catch can will cause an oil system failure...shit if anything it helps the longevity of the engine.

I read more of this thread, guys this is more than likely not the dealership's fault. Their hands are tied. They're not going to do something they're not getting paid for. GM pays the warranty bill, not the dealership. If they do ANY work without a warranty auth they're not getting paid, period. So do go picketing lol

For those saying to the OP that it's tough luck since he modded the car...GM HAS to prove that the catch can caused the failure which is impossible. Yes it's going to suck having to lawyer up but this is complete and utter BS. TAC, lol...most are a bunch of ****tards. While I'm not a tech I do have to call sometimes or listen in on conversations...they're just terrible and have zero ability to think outside of the box or look at things other than what's on a wiring diagram(and even then sometimes they're still clueless).

Again, OP, good luck man. I posted this on my Facebook page and was able to get a few more signatures for you. I know there's not much I can do but if you get any info and need advice or bulletins looked up please don't hesitate to contact me via PM.
