Hopefully this will be an education to them and a possibility to start including them in the vehicle.

Elite, if I were you I would capitalize on this new-found information that GM has and submit your patented design for a factory catch-can.

JMHO as always...
There is a built-in factory catch can system on my 1985 Honda Rebel (motorcycle). It includes a drain tube from the PCV Breather/separator that has a plug and clamp on the end of the drain tube ... each oil change the owners manual states that the tube should be drained of oil. Which I've been doing since 1985.

Pre-EPA regulations cars had a tube that pointed down under the engine and the oil drops/fumes would be deposited on the road as the car was driven.

These "modern" catch-can devices are not new by any means. The automotive engineers do not include them on most cars since the trend is toward zero maintenance which the sales department uses as a bragging/selling point.

Most owners want the vehicle that has the least amount of maintenance specified even though in the long run it will usually shorten vehicle life. The days of grease fittings on the suspension components are just about over as well; no grease fittings on the Camaro or on two other (non-GM) automobiles I own. My 2000 full-sized Chevy van had around 17 grease fittings.
