They even go as far to tell you that you need to have you car serviced by qualified GM service professional at the recommended intervals. I don't do anything but follow their rules to the letter while my cars are under warranty, because I know they will try to get out of it if they can. I have personal experience with this crap.
As long as you keep your receipts for oil and filters etc, that's proof you've done your service I believe
