"The Chevrolet LIMITED Warranty and Owner Assistance" booklet that came with the purchase of my 2013 Camaro, "limited" being the key word here. Under the "Origial Equipment Alterations" subheading it states that any cutting, disconnecting or welding of ANY original equipment parts and components after final assembly at General Motors will void your warranty. On your V6, you CUT your tube to splice in your lines to your catch can. On my V8, I have to DISCONNECT and discard the pigtail hose that the car left the GM factory with to attach my catch can. That's enough for their shark eating lawyers, that's all.

To be clear, my comment was in no way directed at you. It was in a semi jokingly way directed at the silly and baseless comments of others. I thank you for taking charge and standing up for the OP as well as every one of us that MAY run into this issue one day. Both you and I and anyone with a half a brain can prove that the oil catch can did not cause this issue. However, because the OP pulled the pigtail on his v8 only to keep his intake clean, it's altered, and therefore will require lots of time and money to fight and prove his case.

You can buy any make or model you want. They all have attorneys that word their warranty contracts. As I said in another post, the brunt of the blame here goes on his dealer. We don't use the "your dealer is an idiot" emoji enough here.
