Weight and suspension are key's to running a low number, but with this car you WILL be sacrificing its ability to be a great "all around performer" if you start hacking this car up. The true test will be running great times in the 1/4 and roadcourse. I'm sure we will see many one trick pony's start popping up, running impressive times...if having only a 1/4 mile beast is their goal, I'm sure they will be successful. I will be more impressed with those who take a no compromises approach and create a set up that can do both.
I've been looking at some of the GT-R forums, for a car that weights similar (GRANTED it has alot of technology, and sports a very sophisticated AWD system, and bulletproof motor), but that car can turn AND launch, GT500's do a fair job at both, of course Vette's are stupid fast at both...
I thought I'd stand a chance with a GT-R if I saw one out, but I'm not so sure now...

My Skyline GTR has 608HP and its a 92 and a 500+HP Camaro still would not have a snowballs chance in heck against it. I am not bashing AT ALL. Please don't take my post the wrong way, I can't wait to get my 2SS, I am just saying any GTR R32/R33/R34 or the present R35 with its massive weight is a lot of spunk, and a lot of grip, and a heck of a lot of technology to try and beat.
My little R32 GTR has pissed off a lot of guys at SCCA, NASA, track test and tune days, and public back roads (not that I was racing of course

) so I know from driver seat experience that these cars are hard as hell to beat. I can't wait to get my Camaro and build a package that will make this possible, but from what I have seen available so far, it just ain't gonna happen yet. Some day, sure, just not today or very soon.
