Saw that article yesterday, certainly an interesting read.

It's clear to me that Ford's entire strategy this season was to win Le Mans at all costs.

Test Weekend LMGTE Pro, fastest car in order per model
1) Corvette - 3:55.122
2) Porsche RSR - 3:55.402
3) Ferrari 488 GTE - 3:55.900
4) Ford GT - 3:56.039
5) Aston Martin - 3:56.191
Difference between fastest and slowest car: 0:00.917

This results in the Corvette receiving a smaller restrictor, Ferrari receives a 22 pound weight increase, Ford & Aston receive a 44 pound weight reduction but the Aston also receives a smaller restricor. Porsche untouched.

Entire class receives an increase of 5 liters (1.32 gallons) of fuel

Article about the adjustments

Qualifying Weekend LMGTE Pro, fastest car in order per model
1) Ford GT - 3:51.185
2) Ferrari 488 GTE - 3:51.568
3) Porsche RSR - 3:54.918
4) Aston Martin - 3:55.261
5) Corvette - 3:55.848
Difference between fastest and slowest car: 0:04.663

This results in the Ford GT receiving 22 pound weight increase & removal of boost pressure throughout 4200-7000 rev range, Ferrari receives 55 pound increase in weight & an extra four liters of fuel, Aston air restricotrs opened up by 0.4mm, Corvette air restrictors opened up by 0.3mm & seven liters of extra fuel capacity, Porsche eight liters of extra fuel capacity.

Article about BoP adjustments

Despite getting a weight increase of 22 pounds and removal of boost pressure between 4200-7000 rpms the Ford GT runs a best time of 3:51.840 which is only 0:00.655 seconds behind their best qualifying lap when they weighed 22 pounds less and were making more boost. Obvious sandbagging even during qualifying when they ran 5.006 seconds faster than the practice laps.

It's really frustrating when teams can get by with this level of sand bagging
