If anyone was watching the VMA awards, then you know that Kanye West could have shown some restraint by not stepping on what could be the most modest, humble artist to have ever made it big, Taylor Swift. After beating Beyonce for Best Female Video, Taylor Swift received her first VMA award and lost her mic to an arrogant rapper who likens himself to the greats as if he will make proud his listeners with more quality music that revolutionizes the industry. The fact is that Kanye West, while talented, can't stand with the Beatles, Elvis, U2, Madonna, or Eminem. The guy is an overinflated baloon with a good voice, bastardized by his recent manipulation of T-Pain-like synthesizers in music that simply doesn't need that artificial touch. He's good, but he isn't epic. Beyonce's video was fantastic, but Taylor Swift won the award. That's legit, and disrespecting that skill is an insult to the voters, the industry, and the winner. Keep your mouth on the radio, Kanye West, and stop judging award-winning talents.
