If you want it to run 9s at the track, you might be in some trouble with a heavy car, but if you want it to perform, there are some lightening tricks that reduce times and make it lighter.

• A quality carbon fiber hood and trunk are a very common pair in the aftermarket.
Lightweight spoilers are readily available.
Racing rims weigh very little. They may not be as gorgeous as Giovannas, but they perform at the track.
• You can strip the entire interior. Take out the dash and replace it with carbon fiber. Take out the carpet. Take out the door panels, and replace them with carbon fiber.
• Replace the driver seat with a lightweight racing seat.
• As previously stated, remove all soundproofing.
• There is plenty of internal engine work that can be done. I'm talking about pistons, camshafts, and other lightweight parts. These won't treat your wallet nicely, but neither will anything else listed.
• You can always go custom with a fiberglass or carbon fiber body. Plenty of fiberglass body kits are available, but they aren't as light as custom parts.
• Do the lightweight driver mod. That's right. Go on a diet, fatso!

These will reduce weight, and some of them will make the car more aerodynamic. It won't take off more than 1500 lbs, but it will make a big difference.
