This ↑↑↑ . . . it's about limiting the car to a speed no greater than the speed rating of the OE tires fitted to it.
The "Camaro must have a V8" people here still don't seem to understand that without the V6 the Camaro nameplate might be exactly where it was back around . . . 2006. Be careful what you wish for.
The turbo-4 doesn't change that. All it does is add another dimension to the "not V8" side of the discussion.
Quite frankly, I don't understand the butt-hurt that gets exhibited over the mere existence of the V6 and L4-T trims. They do not dilute your own car's V8 trim except in your imagination - and that's strictly on your shoulders. Either own it as an unwarranted belief or let go of it.
There is zero reason that a Camaro can't be used for the ordinary stuff like commuting or most runs to the store. Why not at least inject a little enjoyment and driving fun into those otherwise mindless little runs?
