Scotty, call 1 800 4MYXBOX, microsoft extended the warranty of 360 to 3 years but only for the RROD (Red Ring Of Death aka the 3 red lights that come on in the 'ring' that usually means major hardware failure) repairs. they will send you a box and you send them the unit and the power cord/brick and they will fix it and send it back with a new CPU, heat sink, new power supply/brick etc. it will cost you nothing and the turnaround is pretty fast. i heard of those who called on a monday, got the box on a tuesday or wednesday and had the unit back at their house by the end of the week
