Are you buying from a dealer or private party?
If dealer you will probably be adding dealer fees and I assume sales tax so now $26,500 deal is really pushing $30K out the door. In 3 years the car will probably sell for 50% or less of the new car msrp. So in this case the 16 may be worth about $12K or less. When you drive it out of the dealers lot it's about a 20% hit
I never buy used. Let the 1st buyer take the big hit
Buy private party used still under factory warranty
