If you used vinyl there would be 0% light coming through, because its opaque. Its what the stripes you buy from the dealer are made out of. So I don't reccomend those
The acrylic one actaully looks decently good. To RPI, I'm sure however he would be interested in a picture with the lights on as well, just for confirmation.
