Have you considered putting them in the A-pillars?
My SEAS/Dayton combo will be crossed over low (around 2.2K) and I plan to test in both the stock location in the doors as well as A-pillars. The miniDSP is easy to play with for crossover and time delay

My tweeters are in the stock location. We thought about putting them in the pillars but decided it would be better to leave that spot open to move to 3-ways in the future. It was also a lot more work for what we felt was little or no gain.
I think you will be really happy with any speakers you play with. The hard part is really tuning your DSP. I bought an AudioControl RTA to help tune mine ( and I have access to a Bit Tune...I have not tried it yet). Even with all these tools you still need to have a human tune it by ear. A large portion of this is personal preference.

It is amazing to me how much you can change the sound by just moving the 630hz EQ up or down.
Are you going to install everything during the winter? I think you are going to really like your 4th order! We just finished my friend's 2010SS with a JL 12W6v3 2:1 4th order with the same external box size as myself (not counting my double baffle) and it sounds great ported through the 6x9 hole with a 4x4 port. His car flexes really hard though and the install is not 100% complete. Two 10s in a 4th is going to be extremely impressive!
