Have you considered getting headers?
I ask because I wanted a louder exhaust and I looked at catbacks, muffler deletes, etc, and I ended up going with just headers. I got an extra 20-30hp and it's louder now as well.
You can get Speed Engineering headers for about $350...probably as much as or cheaper than most catbacks.
