you probably worded that wrong. would have been better to say "just curious to see if there are anyone still, these days, that can drive a manual car?
last I heard, only about 15% or so of cars produced come in a manual. back in the day, manual's were standard on base model and lower trim level cars. that why a lot of older people know how to drive them.
