Even if they do get the power in production models what about the most important thing to the average consumer, the Fuel Economy! You really think a 3.7l will get 29+ mpg vs. the 3.6l direct injection! I doubt it, highly! So nothing to be intimidated about. There was no use of even posting this. So what if they do succeed? With the price difference in a 35k+ v6 Mustang and my amazing 33k after t ,t ,and l 2LT/RS/AUTO 2010 Camaro I will just add a few mods like a CAI for the. remaining price difference and outsource the Rustang!!! I will end up with better performance and better fuel econ than Ford could ever give me for the price of their piece of crap!
While I am Chevy through and through, if GM can put a 304HP V6 into the base camaro and start it around 22K, then thinking ford will charge 35K for a engine that is pretty similar I think is a little off. I am guessing that they would know better. That said, imo.... Current V6 mustang owners and Mustang GT owners get to see for the first time just how much Ford has been holding back on them, if I bought a 200 HP V6 for 22K and then went back to the dealer that next week to find 315 HP V6's on the lot for around the same price as an example, I'd be pretty ticked off.

This is why ford people should be in love with the Camaro, it did what no other car could make ford do, make them change the mustang....Rapidly too I might add....
