Clay bar can remove contaminants on the paint. Water spots can actually be etching in the clear coat due to acidic rain or other minerals. Whatever a clay bar doesnt take out, a polish certainly would.
I dont have experience with either of those compounds, but since Adam's is top notch, I assume they would take care of the job.
