Thanks for all the feedback and stories. This is news to me RE Ford so I apologize for a reworded repost. Must've missed them at the time. I'm still not sure a link to a two page thread really covers it...

You know if GM came out and decided to put the Z/28 logo on the 4 cylinder, there'd be madness; and pages upon pages of it. Well it is what it is and I've had some good reads on it here so I appreciate that, but would have expected more over on the Mustang side.

I guess it just goes to my initial shock of just finding out that next year the Mustang will be either a 4 cylinder or 8 cylinder. Just crazy to me and wondered where any of the fan fuss about it was especially when I found none on the Mustang forums.

Logically, being a direct competitor, I wondered if GM could get away with deleting an engine. Hopefully not for this or the next generation! Thanks again.
