From what I read it sounds like you got it right. I would watch for leaks, engine codes, etc.
One thing you want to do is reset the "Oil Life" meter. See the Owners Manual on how to do this.
You can also call onstar and ask for a check, they might find something you don't normally see. IDK but maybe.
