The Ford fan base support is warranted though, offering decades of special limited edition serialized models, hype and supported sales, collectors go nuts. GM doesn't care because of profits, refuses to use proper VIN registration or much less use VIN serialization for most models. While they may offer a particular model in a limited open production run (date limited), anyone can purchase who wants one which of course devalues the vehicles.
Not really sure how they will get a Z non FI motor emissions compliant and produce #"s that #s weenies will have to have, unless it's a track only model like a COPO. GM has the best engineers, worst front office. They release the Z and then the Z06 on it's heels then wonder why they are still on lot's three years later. They are really going to need to get it together with the next one, and not like in a Z4C sticker and tape job gen 4 that sent the camaro whimpering in to hibernation for eight years.
