A couple more "listens" and I'm 100% sure that is a V8. They never said here is a V6 car, do you like how it sounds? These aren't production intent cars, they can do whatever they want with them.
Just like SS said before, most of the pics we've seen prior to the reveal have both V6 and V8 components or something along those lines. There is no reason they couldn't continue down that path.
