Here's what I'm struggling to wrap my head around.... What associates the Key with the keyfob and then the combo with the car? How does the car know to unlock the doors when the button on the keyfob is pushed? How does the ignition know to allow the car to start? I figured the key blade had some sort of transistor / chip in it that matched the keyfob. So if I order a key only will it still be able to be associated with my keyfob?
