The grooves made in the 70s or 1950s contain some of the highest resolution available. They were cut all analog and those grooves are filled with a vast amount of information that was not filtered out for digital reasons. Plus, older pressings were taken from fresh master tapes, where as some of the reissued digital releases where made from worn master tapes. It is amazing what better more modern turntables and cartridges are able to "pull" from those grooves made long ago. Unless you hear it for yourself, don't put down what you don't know.
