I really don't know because I am not an Apple kinda guy. I bought this head unit back in 2013. So if Apple car play is a new thing then I doubt it has that feature. I synced my Android S3 and S6 to it with no problem if that helps. I know Android and Apple are completely different so that might not have helped, lol!!
