Hey Al -
I didn't look at the NT05R as its a drag radial... I did however look at a 305 NT01. The NT01 / RE71R look equally as fast (
http://www.prima-racing.com/bridgest...king-part-two/) so I decided to try the latest shinny object and see how it does. The 305 NT01 (tires direct, free shipping) and 295 R888R (tirerack) are about the same price but I was able to get the R888R for my track day in time.
I'll probably try the 305 NT01 next and the RE71R after that. I'm worried I'll overdrive the RE71R to get the laptime but we'll see!
After seeing some R888s shaved I got confidence there was a lot of material to heat cycle out and cording shouldn't be an issue...
