You probably did have the fuel problem, since yours was slow, until you fuse pulled.
Mine never was slow, but there is power waiting to get out, and the computer wont let it once it learns a "safer" way of running.
Ask anybody who knows air/fuel ratio, and a straight 11.5 from 2500 to 6000 RPM is not a good number for a NA car.

Sounds like you're not someone who I was refering to. Yo seem to have a handle on your car.
By time your car I mean 0-60 mph, and quarter mile. Mine was consistant before and is consistant now. There will be a distinct difference if you're running on the lower fuel table. It's the easiest way to tell. But you're right. These cars are managed WAY back. It does suck but I understand why.
