I just bought my new 2015 black, ac car for $50,000 in Houston after it sat on the dealers lot for two years so I think the bottom of the depreciation curve on these cars is still to be found. You could buy a pristine '69 Z in the late 80's for well under $10k. Those prices only started going crazy in the late 90's and early 2000's. I suspect coinciding with the advancing age and increasing economic ability of those who wanted one when they were younger but couldn't afford one or just had other priorities like raising children. Given the demographic of most of the new Z owners I am aware of I suspect most of us will be gone before our cars are worth more than we paid for them if they ever are. I'm with ZapperZ, drive the heck out of them and enjoy them while you can.
